Stop overcomplicating it.

You don't need another productivity system. Everywhere you turn, you’re being “optimized” to the point of overwhelm. What good are all of the tools in the world if you don’t have the mental space to actually implement them? |
You don't need another podcast, morning routine, book, or motivational speech. |
You need to answer one uncomfortable question: |
“What do I already know, that I'm pretending not to know?” |
You probably have an answer. |
Maybe you know the job has run its course. |
Maybe you know the conversation you need to have in your relationship. |
Maybe you know you've been playing smaller than you're capable of (this one is probably true for you). |
Maybe you know exactly what you should do next, but doing it would require disrupting something…comfortable. |
That’s where people get stuck. |
Not because they lack information, you’re flooded with that every moment of the day. |
In reality, it’s because getting “more information” eventually becomes a substitute for real action. |
So try this: |
Take out a piece of paper and write down three things. |
1. What do I know? |
Strip away everyone else's opinions and write down what you believe to be true. |
2. What am I avoiding? |
Usually there's a conversation, decision, boundary, risk, or commitment hiding in here, but you can only uncover it if you’re fully honest with yourself. |
3. What would the ultimate version of me do next? |
Not the safest version. |
Not the version of you who’s trying to keep everyone happy. |
The strongest. |
You may be surprised how quickly the fog clears. |
Clarity isn't always something you magically discover... |
Sometimes it's something you've been staring at the entire time. |
And, the moment you stop pretending you don’t see it, the path becomes obvious. |
This is also a large part of the work I do privately. |
People rarely come to me because they need more information, they can get that anywhere online. They come because they're too close to their own situation to see it clearly…and because important decisions become exponentially easier when you have the right person across the table. |
If you're navigating something significant right now, reply to this email and tell me what's going on. |
I'll personally read it and get back to you if there’s potential for us to work together privately. |
Talk to you soon. |
