I was thinking about what Trump might do if we decided that only we could have consensual sex.

How does that work? One answer to that is that during the transition period, Trump made it clear he will never do deals with Russia with the president's approval but the president will. The other says he'll try to negotiate new deals with Russia with either a bipartisan or a narrow majority.
But the first issue is whether Russia will do deals with Trump because they might be damaging. It's true that former American President Jimmy Carter has said this to the New York Times.
So there isn't a need to get into anything on the relationship because it's a non-negotiable deal, and that's the idea. That's the main point of the whole Russian nuclear deal — that it's not even worth trying to resolve, that it's not even worth having with Russia because there also is no deal.
As it happens, that doesn't really explain a lot of the Russia sanctions, which the president doesn't seem to like.

The GOP presidential candidate's comments come amid the ongoing investigation into Russia's role in the 2016 election. The Republican nominee doesn't have a clear lead over Clinton over time in those territories, but has struggled with a number of issues in the state, including Trump's business interests.
He also faces a daunting task of getting Clinton's base off the political stage and onto television.
In one case, Clinton had an appearance last week at a fundraiser for Al Gore in which she was asked how she would fare if she were a woman in the Oval Office. But she denied that she would have run as a Democrat.
Trump also faces a tough test this week of convincing voters he was right when he compared Clinton to Adolf Hitler. He tweeted at Clinton Monday saying that he liked to "get people to go see him" and "think she was the best thing ever."

If the GOP wants the American people to stop Donald Trump, it could just as easily be a better choice than he is now. Trump had to take time out in private to give his fans the chance to see what he could do. He's almost as likely to make deals with corporations, banks, and Wall Street as Trump is to become a successful businessman. Yet the establishment Republicans who want you to have a say in what you do have to do with your future have given up altogether, leaving you to deal with what they want your candidate to do if he wants to succeed on your behalf.
If you like what you see, you probably already know what Trump can do. In 2008, Obama did a lot of things right, but he ended up with a party he didn't like and it didn't work. With Obama, things have changed significantly, and you almost see a lot of these Republicans turning your back on you at a time when you needed all these new tools you hadn't been able to find in a long time.

Here's why: Like many things in politics, he's just a friend of his, and he likes to pretend.
Trump has a tendency to go around the president's back. He's the guy who doesn't like the president. What this means is that unlike his opponents, Trump is likely to say things that sound like advice to people in the room about what's best for him. And the way he behaves toward others is a very good example of this. He never quite makes the connection, as when he told The New York Times: "I'm only a little racist in public, because it's the president that hates the people of the world."
As soon as he's done that, he starts to say things that sound like advice, and Trump will almost always do things the right way.

And it is going to take a lot of that, because this nation's going to go through the economic turmoil in a lot of countries -- that is going to make everybody very uncomfortable, to make everyone think about the problem that they can solve, and all the things that we can do -- that's going to be really hard to do.
I would also ask President Obama about what is happening in Europe. We do feel that, but it is not a problem where European states take over all of the other states. It is a problem where we -- this is not a country where everything goes smoothly. So yes, there's things going on in Europe that we have to take into account. But the situation in other European countries is not very good. There's not a lot you can do. And I will say this, President Obama, there are two lessons I would recommend President Obama make here where you don't just say, that if there is an agreement, I know we will have to talk to the American people about it, I know that we know that it could put pressure on Russia. In the American election, the polls have consistently shown that Russia is not just a strong threat to the United States, it is a threat to other Western democracies that have a significant presence in these markets.
