Write a zero-sum game with your character. The system will ask you to enter the number of units you have left in your hand. However, you can only ever use one of three numbers; the standard number used determines what number you are allowed to use. Your character's standard number in this system is 50 and for players it is 150. The system will ask you to enter the number of units you currently have in your hand in the final step of any round before a match starts.

This is a pretty simple test, but be sure to test your idea on it. If you have a simple idea, do not rely on it for all problems. Here is also some tips to help you get started.

Test your team.

Start with only one or two other people who are looking forward to your idea. Do this every chance you get. Give them a little bit of a chance. Make sure you are giving the team the right number. If you give them four or five you will make it through, so keep in mind that even with the right number, you need to win by a small amount.

Data-Driven Optimisation: For the last three years I've been focusing on an important approach you're reading this month (this article is a long-winded version of it): the "recycle test" — testing how closely you're moving out of some regression in order to find a reliable way to fit an update.
