AUSTIN (NEWS1110) – Nearly 200 Dallas police officers have been arrested since an ambush of an officer this week in their efforts to stop a suspected drug trafficking ring, police said Sunday.
AUSTIN (NEWS1110) – Nearly 200 Dallas police officers have been arrested since an ambush of an officer this week in their efforts to stop a suspected drug trafficking ring, police said Sunday.
According to CBS Dallas 813, police said an officer used "helicopter" tactics to get into the vehicle that was hit by an SUV in downtown Dallas on Tuesday. The officers were in a search for "suspects" in connection to the investigation.
Investigators said the suspected gangster killed the officer.
Officers were called to the crash at 2:38 p.m. Wednesday near South Lamar Street in west downtown. The suspect is now in custody.
The Dallas Police Department is requesting any information about the alleged gangster to a task force of Dallas detective chiefs and police attorneys.
