What I've found is that people who are playing chess (or making plays that they like) are a lot more likely to have never played a game before, as they're less likely to have played it before. The same will happen if you're at level 8. It's not simply that we have to be able to say what we like or what kind of decision we want to make, but also that we have to be able to make a choice that gives the most value for all of us.
